Across the Threshold part 13: Second Contact
"Scott!" Q said as the four warriors on the roof saw Scott's ship crashed to the ground. Bakore saw that they were distracted and decided to move out of the area powering down to his normal red armored form but Bartch noticed and chased after him. Chase saw Bartch move and noticed Bakore about to take fight. "Hey!" Bartch said after Bakore, "Stop!" 'I can beat this' Bakore thought, 'I'm one of the fastest flyers out of the Requiem Knights, there's no way they can bring me-' however before he could finish, Bakore noticed that one of his wings blew up. "OH JUUUUUCCCCK!" Bakore said as he fell from the 12 story building. The four looked down as Bakore fell and eventually crashed down to the ground. Bartch turned to the others, and saw Q wielding his gun "Q! The heck was that for!?" Chase said to his brother. "(Sorry, I think that they could be one of those interlopers. These interlopers could be cyborgs or androids.)" "Could be, but he's still could be dead you know, nothing can survive a fall at that hieght. Chase," Wisey asked Chase "how's your flyer?" Chase turned his head, with the others to Chase's flyer to find the flyer totally destroyed. ("Oh, I guess we would have to take the elevators again." "(You hacked the computer?)" Q asked. "Yeah!" Wisey answered. "(Shoot!)" Q said"(That's coming out of paychecks isn't it?)" "Yep" Bartch answered looking at the ground.
On the ground a few minutes later, Bakore lay in a crumpled mess one mile away from Twin Drake who was fast approaching the body and upon reaching his comrade, Twin Drake lifted the body and picked up Bakore's chip. Tameron and Flaron came soon after. "Twin Drake, how's Bakore?" Flaron asked. "Damaged, but alright, he can be repaired." Then Twin Drake gave Bakore's chips to Flaron saying, "Get these to Verdtrus, or at to least Chromdraco, he should be nearby." Suddenly the three heard a voice in their heads, it was Omnidec, {GUYS AGENT RHO NU HAS ARRIVED! REGROUP REGROUP!} The three grew alert, with Tameron saying what that means for them under what could be under his breath. "Beowulf!" However Flip's voice popped in their heads {GUYS, WE NEED BACK UP! I CAN'T FIND CHROMDRACO, AND THERE'S A NEW GUY, SOME BLACK ARMORED DOG MAN! TARROT IS TAKING HIM ON, BUT IT'S LIKE HE'S A COMPLETE MACHINE! BUT HE'S COMPLETELY ORGANIC! I'VE CHECKED!} {ALRIGHT, CALM DOWN!} Twin Drake said to Flip in the same way that Flip was speaking to the group, {WHERE ARE YOU?} he asked. {ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR, I TOOK ON A NEW APPEARANCE SO HE CAN'T FIND ME AND I HAVE MOST OF THE CHIPS SO THE BLACK ARMORED GUY WON'T GET THEM.} {OK JUST STAY THERE, WE'LL COME AND GET YOU.} Flaron told Flip. Tameron and Flaron ran off to Tarrot each putting one chip in their devices. Twin Drake heft Bakore over one shoulder and demorphed himself and then his companion.
On the ground Chromdraco woke up with a throbbing headache. Then he remembered as he was falling down the hole, he smacked his head on a stray pipe rendering him unconscious. Then he looked around to find a door, checking it, he found that it was locked from the inside. Suddenly heard something, Chromdraco turned to find a small creature on the ground. It was small and crab like with tentacles for legs. "What the juck!?" Chromdraco said creeped out by the creature which crawled out of sight. Chromdraco turned to the door and unlocked the door and exited the room with no trouble. Turning from the door he thought with his eyes closed 'Geez everything is going into the toilet,' then he opened his eyes and then screamed. Outside Tarrot and Scott were fighting each other. Scott in black and blue armor with a helmet similar to that of a Skrall warrior's with the top of the helmet extending 4 inches like a flat spike. His armor is built differently than the others, with it looking made of more rather than the basic plated and versatile design of normal armor that most CPDF members use. Carrot himself was shooting green projectiles at Scott who kept dodging them with efficiency. Carrot then placed his hand on the ground and produced a large broad sword made of sand from the ground, but Scott shot several spikes from his wrist, several piercing Tarrot's broad sword as if it was made of paper. Then Scott pulls out a gun on his back and starts to shoot at Tarrot who summoned a dense sand wall which blocked all of the bullets. Tarrot fired back with red firey stones forcing Scott to take cover behind a column at the entrance. Making a new sand sword from the dirt, Tarrot walked towards the column and slices it in half. As the pillar collapsed Tarrot moved away from the falling rubble. As the smoke cleared Tarrot shot a few projectiles from his hands, causing many smaller dust clouds to appear. He then moved closer and for a few tense seconds, he stood there waiting for Scott to appear. 'There,' He thought 'now that he's probably dead, I can grab Flip and Chromdraco before- ' before he could finish, a gunblast suddenly hits Tarrot in the head, almost breaking his helmet, forcing him onto the ground. With his head spinning and "ears" ringing, Tarrot got up and imediately saw Scott appearing out of nowhere. "Shoot!" Tarrot said punching the ground creating another wall of sand along with a burst of sand which covered his visor, only for a few seconds as Tarrot escaped the area. Chromdraco ran after Tarrot, but found Scott finished wiping his visor with his hand. "Well, you're not the guy I was fighting earlier." Scott said as he drew out a bladed tonfa.
As Chase, Bartch, Q, and Wisey exited the elevator to the bottom floor, the four group noticed the small creature that Chromdraco saw earlier which noticed them. "(What is that thing?)" Q asked, and then the creature transformed into Flip as Tameron and Flareon came in with weapons drawn. "Hey it's those two again." Wisey said. "Hey! What are you guys " "There's more?" Chase asked Bartch, exasperated. "Sorry," Tameron said, "but we're getting our friend so if you'll be so kind as to-" "HOLD UP!" Chase called out, "Your 'friend' had just attacked me and my brother, and you expect us to let you leave!?" "Careful Chase, they were able to take out an entire team of Dragon's teeth grunts." Bartch warned "Since when?" Chase asked. "Back at the University!" Flareon said pulling out an object. It was a small leaf shaped necklace with a purplish metal frame. "Wait, what is that?" Wisey asked but as an answer, it shone so brightly that it temporarily blinded the four warriors with a loud pop. When their vision returned, Tameron, Flip and Flareon disappeared leaving no trance. Chase was the first whose's vision recovered and exclaimed as the others recovered "Oh great! Now they're gone!" Chase then turned to Bartch, with cold stare under his visor. "What the frack happened at the university!?" Bartch after blinking a few time said "A sect of red dragon tooth soldiers led by a red dragon commander had attacked the university but the two we met not too long ago had dealt with the soldiers while we stopped the commander." "I went outside to check if there were more and bam, there they were standing on a pile of those teeth grunts!" Wisey said. "(You don't say.)" Q said sarcastically and then continued, "(Regardless, anybody with above average abilities can take down at grunt level tooth soldiers. The ones that Chase and I fought earlier can summon their own monsters.)" "What? Are they on the same level as the commanders from the Red dragon army?" Bartch asked. "(Somewhat.)" Q answered. "Hey Guys!" Scott said as he came in with Chipp holding his helmet. A radio nearby was beginig the first cords of Roundabout by the band Yes. "Bad news, the perpetrators left and they took Mordecai with them, but we found someone who could help." Chipp explained, then turning to Chase "and Chase?" "Yeah?" Chase asked. "Just warning you," Chipp explained "you might not like the guy." "Huh?" Chase said "what do mea-" He means me birdbrain." a voice called out, it was Beowulf helmetless. Under his helmet, Chase's face went from dubious to that of extreme rage as the song roundabout began to pick up into it's more well known lively beat. "MOTHER FRACKER!"
