Across the threshold: Out of the frying pan 07

In the hospital, Batrch held the Noas necklace, in his hands and asked, "So Voidmond GAVE you this?" "Yeah." Wisey answered, "After attacking his own men."  "Bartch," Katie asked, "you are the historian out of us, do you know how to work this amulet?" "Well," Bartch answered handing the necklace back, "theoretically, you need to just to know where you want to go and will it to take you there in a flash." "That's it?" Katie asked taking the necklace. "Apparently according to legend," Bartch answered, "but you can only do it four times a day and considering Voidmond was the one who gave you this-" "I'm sure we can handle it." Kaite interrupted, "All we need to do is to get the others out of there." "(And who's going to do that exactly?)" Q asked. "Hoot, You stay here with Bartch and Beo, Q, Wisey and I are going to get the others." "(I'm coming as well!)" Blueacon interjected, "(I dealt with these jerks and I know how they tick!)" Nodding, Katie turned and turned to the Bucketheads saying "Are you okay with that?" "Well.." Primo started but Jerry grabs Blueacon's shoulder exclaiming, "Give them something that they'll never forget! Just don't " Immediately, Katie raised the necklace but stopped saying "Errr, let's do it outside. We shouldn't probably" Agreeing the four ran out as Primo looked to the ground solemnly. Seeing this, Jerry was reminded of Flipp, curled down on the floor and Tameron moving to his side. "Don't worry," Jerry said, "I'm sure those kids will have another shot."

Rushing forward, Chipp exclaimed, "Chase! Matt! Take the sides! Scott and I will distract her!" Splitting from the group, Chase and Matt ran around in opposite directions as Scott vanished and Chipp used his suit's jets to fly into the air. "Don't think you can escape me!" Kaitres exclaimed raising her massive blade, "Anything you can do I can- OFFPH!!" Suddenly, Chipp slammed into her, causing the two to roll on the hull. Seeing this Kaiser broke off and ran towards Chipp, pulling out his D-gun, exclaiming "Alright! Let's do this you son-!" Suddenly Scott materialized in front of Kaiser and blocked his attack as Chase and Matt ran past the two, gunning for the door. Cursing Tarrot stepped forward and told Twin Drake, "Drake, get our guest to her sister, now!" Before the two could say anything else, Twin Drake and Kuriuno watched Tarrot bolt after the two approaching figures as a thorn like whip shot out of his massive knuckle like weapon. "Please come with me!" Twin Drake stated opening the door, "Your sister should be in the pod room." Following the homunculus, Kuriuno asked, "Are you sure he will be alright?" "Trust me," Twin Drake answered, "He's been doing this form the start."

In a flash, Katie, Wisey, Q and Blueacon appeared on the quarry grounds as the Grendel sat at in the distance. "Alright." Katie said pointing ahead, "We should be able to make it there in no time, granted if Chipp and the others took care of the front lines of course." "(If not,)" Blueacon said claping his hands before going into his noid form, "(we can tear through them!)" "Remember," Katie reminded the garuda, "we are suposed to arrest the knights, not kill them." "What about Voidmond?" Wisey asked, "He's the reason Beo why has a hole in his chest." "(You're really into Old english guy all of the sudden.)" Q muttered, "(You have a thing for the lizard guys?)" "I'm sure he did that under orders," Katie surmised, feeling the amulet in her hands, "Verdian came from the same organization as Old Eng- no Beo, so he probably have suspected that the guy was a threat. Come on, let's head over there, maybe we can salvage this mission. Besides, we still have this!"

Feeling the tingle in his chest, Voidmond quickly turned to the quarry beyond the Grendel and spotted several shapes in in the distance. "Is that-?" Voidmond muttered looking forward when a look of familiarity fell on his face, causing him to exclaim, "AW (CENSORED)!!!" Immediately he leaped off of his hiding place and land on the ground behind the Grendel. "I got to warn those idiots before they watse the necklace!" Voidmond muttered before breaking off into a sprint towards Katie's group. From the ship, Omnidec watched in curiosity as Tameron lead Flip away, saying "Come on. The others are waiting for us." Turning to the two, Omnidec said, "Hey guys, I'm going to be right back." Hearing this, Tameron asked "Omni!? What are you-?" before Omnidec immediately leaped out of the ship. "Omni!" Tameron exclaimed, "What the heck are you doing!?" "Following Voidmond!" Omnidec answered as he clamored down the ship's side, "I'll be right back!" Cursing, Tameron turned to Eric who was quickly recovering from the blast, then to the fried body of Vandrin and finally to an unconscious Rian laying on the floor. Turning back to Flip, Tameron groaned and walked to Eric asking, "Hey buddy, how are you?" "Fine!" Eric answered, "I can walk. Is Rian okay?" Looking to Rian, Tameron answered, "He looks fine, an hour in the pod and he should be fine." Picking up the wounded, Rian, Tameron and Flip carried their comrades towards the pod room as Omnidec followed Voidmond into the forest.

Taking an alternate path to the back of the ship, Katie's group ran through the forest behind the Grendel. "We should be able to reach the ship without being spotted !" Katie exclaimed pointing forward, "So be ready guys!" Suddenly, Voidmond landed in front of the group exploded causing them to stop in their tracks. "What did you idiots do!?" Voidmond demanded, annoyance clear in his voice. "Voidmond! " Wisey exclaimed before immediately rushing the fake garuda and punching him in the face there times. Quickly recovering, Voidmond caught the fourth punch and pinned the garuda to a tree saying, "Listen here you litte punk! I did not spend three years in a freaking POD just to have a squirt like you to go balistc on me." Struggling, Wisey exclaimed, "You tore a hole in a guy!" "Wait, that's what you're hung on about?" Voidmond asked before Katie stepped in ordering "Wisey! STAND DOWN! You too Voidmond." Glaring at each other, Wisey and  relented and soon the two broke the grapple. "Look, did you use the necklace?" "Yeah." Katie answered revealing the necklace in her hands, "but why did-?" "It's a copy of the original," Voidmond explained, "though I have modified it so it could have 2 uses. You used the first, seriously you-" "HEY!" a voice called out causing the group to turn and see Omnidec standing in the clearing. "What the (censored) is going on!?" Cursing, Voidmond turned to the agents and bowed saying "Let's talk this later." In a flash, both he and Omnidec vanished into thin air. 

Watching the battle play out, Rick fastened his X-injector around his waist as Scott danced around Kaiser while Chipp caught Kaitres's blade with his arm. Turning on the X-injector Rick readied himself to transform when suddenly a roar was heard, causing him to turn to see Chipp engulfed in flames as he held on to Kaitres. "Shoot!" Rick exclaimed, "Hate to be that guy!" Turning to Tarrot as he dealt with Chase and Matt, Rick said  picking his opponent, "Okay, enie minnie minee you! CHANGE FORM!" Triggering his X-Injector, Rick pointed to Chase and dashed at the garuda as a magenta glow enveloped his body. Chase, shooting at Tarrot, heard a metallic voice exclaimed "X INJECT! X Buster!" Turning,  Chase found a red and silvered armored figure, similar to the entities Beo summoned before rushing towards him. Jumping back, Chase caught Rick's punch with his cross bow. "COME ON!" Rick exclaimed, punching the crossbow, "Is this all you got!?" Immediately with a spin kick, Rick forced Chase staggering near the edge. Taking a look down Chase gritted his beak and turned to the numian demanding "Okay, who the (censored) are you?" "My name is Rick!" Rick answered pointing to himself, "One of the guys who will help kill the oligarchy!" "What?" Chase managed to say before Rick kicked the garuda over the edge. Smirking Rick turned only to stop when suddenly a droning sound rang through the air. Quickly turning around, Rick found Chase on his hover board. "What the-!?" Rick muttered when a second hover board emerged with Wisey on it. "Who the heck are you!?" "The name is Armored Warrior BX!" Wisey exclaimed, "An agent-!" "Cut the introductions Wisey!" Chase exclaimed, cocking his crossbow. 

Enveloped in flames, Chipp stood holding the blade while Kaitres cackled in delight. "You're still standing?" She jeered, "Well then let's how long are you going to last?" Suddenly, Chipp turned the gun to Kaitres and open fire upon the deer woman, sending her flying back. Quickly the flames dispersed as Chipp then turned to Scott who was easily maneuvering around the less experience Kaiser. Turning back to see Kaitres on the ground, Chipp grimaced sating  "Good thing I set the gun to stun!" and turned seeing Wisey floating on his hover board. "What the-!?" He muttered before he heard the sound of a Jet pack. Next to Wisey, Katie, with a jetpack emerged holding Q by the arms. "Katie how-!?" Chipp started before Katie cut in saying "You're not the only one who got yourself a jet pack!" Pressing the pump on his X-Injector, Kaiser's D-gun in blade mode glowed as the ceasarian slashed at Scott, forcing the sirian back and breaking his sword. Pressing the pump again, Kaiser switched the D-Gun to its gun form, Kaiser turned to Katie and Q, pointing the gun to them and pulling the trigger. "MOVE!" Katie exclaimed, as the two quickly dodged out of the way of a blast equivalent to a solo burst. Quickly, Chipp fired upon Kaiser, only for the ceasarian to duck out of the way and shoot back, forcing Chipp to do the same as the two broke out into a fire fight. 

Materializing in the Bridge, Voidmond turned to a baffled Omnidec and said, "Well, I'm sure you hav-" "WHAT THE (CENSORED) WAS THAT?" Omnidec exclaimed, "Was that your ability!? What the heck are you?" "..... questions." Voidmond muttered with a sigh before saying, "To answer your first question, that was one of these." Pulling out a copy of the Noas necklace, he explained, "When Mordecai incorporated the blue stones from the artifacts into the F.U.Z.O.R., I managed to take the few of them including the Noas necklace and the Replication band." "What!? Why would you do that!?"Omnidec demanded but Voidmond continued saying, "For your second question, teleportation is not my ability, or glitch as my friends call it. Ever wonder know how I managed to get here in the first place? Why you found me stranded in the middle of a war torn street at the right moment at the right time? I was because of my 'glitch', temporal displacement, it allows me to send my consciousness back in time, though I have to abandon my original body to do so." "But that doesn't explain the pod." Omnidec pointed out. "You can thank my superiors for that. In order to house my consciousness in this timeline, they sent the body that I'm currently in back in time to 5 years after your arrival. The pod itself was a repurposed transport pod that we filled with Requiem energy." "That explains the rusted state of the pod." Omnidec muttered before asking, "So what, you're some kind of super homunculus from the future?" "You can say that." Voidmond answered, "Speaking of which, about question number three..."

As Chase took shots at the familiarly armored numian, Q switched his G-Saber to sword form and ran to slash at Rick. Seeing this, Rick switched his D-gun to dagger mode and used it to block the garuda's blade. "Quentin! Move out of the way!" Chase exclaiming but Q, locking blades with Rick, grabbed the numian's arm and threw him in Chase's direction. Seeing this Chase cursed and aimed at the numian as he regained his footing. As Chase pulled the trigger, Rick immediately leaped up to the air, causing the bolt to hit Q in the chest, sending back. "Q!" Chase exclaimed before Rick fired upon him before landing on the ground and rushing at him. "Eyes up, blue eyes!" Rick exclaimed before he slashed at Chase with the D-gun before the garuda caught the blade with his crossbow. Straining Chase stated, "Get off." threw the numian off and shooting him in the chest, forcing him back a few feet. Taking this opportunity, Chase Summoned his hovercraft and quickly it rammed Rick in the chest sending him flying off the grendel. Quickly Chase ran to Q as the cobalt armored garuda got up asking "You okay Q?" "(Yeah!)" Q answered, "(Ow! Do your bolts always have to sting!?)" "I told you to move out of the way." Chase stated, "Come on! The others need us!" Hanging on the D gun, Rick held on for dear life as the weapon pierced the side of the Grendel. "Son of a gun!" Rick muttered, "My debut went up in smoke!"
