Across the threshold: Out of the frying pan 08

Joining Matt, Wisey swung his G saber towards Tarrot, who blocked the attack with his gauntlet. Taking advantage of his distraction, Matt moved in to attack when the when a blast knocked the weapon out of his hand. Watching it fall to the rocky floor beneath the Grendel, Matt cursed as Tarrot looked to the source of the blaster fire. Lifting his own D-gun, Rick called out, "Watch your six!" before resuming fighting both Chase and Q. "Shoot!" Matt muttered before Tarrot grabbed the ursan and threw him down on the deck of the ship. Before Tarrot could do any thing else, Wisey grabbed homunculus from behind exclaiming, "Oh no! Not this time!" and tried to hold him back. Unfortunately Tarrot kneed the garuda in the stomach causing Wisey to stagger back. Turning around, Tarrot raised his weapon and as the whip reemerged from it's usual barrel, Tarrot was about to strike the garuda when suddenly a pair of blasts hit his back causing him to fall on his knees. "Oh no you don't!" he heard form behind. Turning back, Tarrot found Matt standing with the barrels on his back pointing forward. "Oh you got to be kidding me!" Tarrot muttered getting up, "Fine! Bring it on!" 

"He what!?" Flaron exclaimed. In the pod room, Tameron, Flipp and Eric had brought their wounded comrades just a few minutes after Rick ran off to face the agents by himself. "He just saw Voidmond running  into the woods and just ran off!" Tameron exclaimed, "I couldn't stop him." Groaning, Flaron marched to the door, saying "That idiot is going to get himself killed!" Opening the door, she found Kuriuno standing over her like a looming monument. "Excuse me!" Twin Drake exclaimed pushing the deer woman out of the way, "hey Flare, is everyone here?" "Yeah but Omni just ran off after Voidmond for some reason so-" "What!?" Twin Drake exclaimed, "What the heck is that-!?" Suddenly, Kuriuno cleared her throat causing the humonculus to draw Flaron aside, allowing the deer woman to walk in to greet her sister. Looking at one of the pods, Twin Drake walked up to it and asked, "How's Bakore?"  "The nanites in your blood allowed us to start the preparation for the surgery." Bulker answered, "Voidmond even helped."  Winching at this Flaron then asked, "So you're just going to Ice him like everyone else here!?" "Well, what else should we do?" Bulker answered, "We don't have the technology to complete the process!" "YOU COULD HAVE DONE IT LATER!" Flaron exclaimed, "Seriously who came up with-! *groan* Never mind, I don't want to know!" Turning to Flipp, she asked, the humonculus, "Hey Flipp, you doing okay?" "Primo and Jerry were with the agents." Tameron answered, "Not only that but I told Omnidec and Flipp about what Primo told us." "What!?" Flaron exclaimed, "Why!?" "I don't know," Tameron answered, "I just-" "Wait, what did you tell them?" Bulker asked inerjecting only for Flaron to turn back and snapped, "That's none your business!" Jumping back, Bulker said, "Okay, okay, geez! I was trying to-" Suddenly a blast blew a hole the wall between the two, causing everyone in the room to turn wide eyed to Kuriunos, who lowered her bow. "Now that I have your attention," Kuriunos started, "take me to your leader, please." 

Kasier, after being shot was sent flying backwards on Kaitres, landing hard on her body. "GET OFF!" Kaitres exclaimed, throwing the ceasarian off. Seeing Kaitres get up, Chipp, eyes wide asked, "Holy smokes woman, What are you made of, Iron!?" Chuckling Kaitres raised her blade and quickly rushed at the ceasarian, forcing Chipp to quickly pull out his cannon. He quickly fired upon the the deer woman, causing her to momentarily stagger back before starting again. Cursing, Chipp ducked away from Kaitres' massive blade and shot her again, though it did not seem to effect the deer woman at all this time. Avoiding another swing, Chipp cursed and switched the cannon off the stun mode and was about to fire when Katie appeared, slashing at the deer woman's back, creating sparks on her back plate. Turning, Kaitres growled, "This is ONE ON ONE! WAIT YOUR TURN!" before Q suddenly appeared, shooting at her from the side and catching her attention as a red arua formed around her body. Noticing this Chipp exclaimed raising his cannon, "Q! Katie! GET DOWN!" Seeing Chipp raise the weapon, Katie and Q moved as the ceasarian pulled the trigger. As a orange stream made contact, a red aura like shield formed around Kaitres' body and took on the blast.

Moving across the cliffside, Verdtrus , Chromdraco, and Eithine took glances at the battle raging on the Grendel. "Why are we even here?" Chromdraco asked, "I know we're supposed to let Voidmond do his job but its over now!" "Do you want to get shot in the crossfire!?" Eithine asked, pulling out a comm, "The south Atlantian generals aren't known for their care for bystanders or innocents." "We're wanted criminals on now two planets!" Chromdraco pointed out, raising his hands to the air, "We are anything but innocent!" Suddenly Verdtrus's comm beeped, causing the blue skinned humanoid to pick up the device and after setting it to speaker, asked, "Hello?" "Verdtrus, where the (censored) are you?" Flaron asked causing Verdtrus' companions to turn wide eyed to the green clad man, "The leader wants to speak with you." "That's normal, right?" Eithine asked but Verdtrus gave him a look and answered back, "Tell her to wait, We're heading over there now." Turning it off Verdtrus turned to Chromdraco who commented, "That's a new one. Did you " "She and Tameron lived in a small village in the west."  Verdtrus answered with a shrug "How am I supposed to know?" "We should probably start walking back then." Eithine stated pointing down, "Let's go through the hatch on the other side! That way, the agents won't get us there." "Got it." Verdtrus answered, "Hopefully the agents aren't crawling around in the back now." Soon the three began to walk down to the ship. 

Witnessing the smoke disapate from the shield around the deer woman, Q, wide eyed exclaimed, "(SHe has a (censored)ing SHIELD!?)" "She must have a force field generator on her!" Katie exclaimed, getting up, "Chipp, we need to fall back!" Suddenly Kaiser slashed at Chipp's back, catching only the armor but it caused Chipp to stagger forward nonetheless. Seeing this, Kaitres dropped her shield and exclaimed, "HEY! THIS IS ONE ON ONE! BACK OFF!" "NO! YOU BACK OFF! HE'S MINE!" Kaiser exclaimed, causing the deer woman to march up to the younger ceasarian, pushing Chipp out of the way, and the two began to argue the semantics of who deserves to murder the older ceasarian first. Rejoining the two, Chipp said to Kaite and Q, "Let's just go and help the others before they start coming to blows." The two agreed and the three left the two combatants to their quarrel. 

Reaching the back of the Grendel, Eithine, Verdtrus and Chromdraco checked the area surrounding the back. Looking to the destroyed Humbee, Chromdraco muttered, "Wow, that dragon really must hate four wheel drive." "No one's here. The construct must have driven the agents away" Verdtrus surmised pointing to the trashed vehicle, "So where's this hatch that you speak of?" "It's the docking hatch near the upper hangar level," Eitnine explained, "It should be parallel to the shaft that garuda agent used to get in. If we get there, we should be able to find our way to the stasis pods down below." "Got it." Verdtrus said, pointing to the ship, "Let's take an alternate" Suddenly a voice called out, "(HEY!)" causing the three to look up Blueacon in his garuda form sitting on one of the branches of the tree above them. "Where do you think you're going?"
