Across the threshold: and into the fire 06

"Oh no!" Raidos exclaimed noticing the two pillars of light smashing through the clouds. "Hey eyes on the prize!" Chipp said motioning to Blueacon who began to defrost, "What's going on?" "Sorry! Our weapons are powered by Elysium itself." Raidos explained "And we can call on more power from Elysium itself, but there's a risk in taping into that much power." "Like what?" Chipp asked before as he watched Wisey flying towards them on his Wind Rider. "If someone directly connects to Elysium with out restrictions," Raidos answered looking to Blueacon, "they may become like him." Eyes widening Chipp turned to Raidos and asked, "Wait, what are you talking about?" 

As the light dispersed, Kaitres laughed and began to glow as the three watched on in confusion. "You idiot!" Kuriuno muttered as she turned to Voidmond saying, "I'm giving you this warning now, call off your comrades or else." Looking to the knights, Voidmond turned to the deer woman answering, "I'll see what I can do." before running off towards the knights. "Voidmond you-!" Matt exclaimed before a wave of heat passed through the two agents. Quickly, Matt and Katie quickly turned to Kaitres as she marched towards the two. "Oh you got to be kidding me!" Matt exclaimed, "What the heck is going on!?"  Suddenly the maiden erupted into light as her bodies became carapaced as she transformed into a noid-like form. Kaitres had grew several times her size as her upper body and was covered in rocky body armor as her mullet grew into a mane of hair. On her shoulders, arms, and lower torso were yellow mirrors that reflected the afternoon sun as smoke emitted from the stubby horns attached to what can be described as a rocky skull-mask on her face. Kuriuno herself began to walk away in disgust. 

Hearing the explosion, Voidmond turned to see the what Kaitres had become. "More blue bloods?" Voidmond muttered to himself, "(Censored)!" "What the (censored!?)" Matt exclaimed, "Man you make that blue guy look tame by comparison!" "Oh ho!" Kaitres exclaimed, "All enemies will die by my hands!" Quickly Voidmond dashed towards the agent's side exclaiming, "Stay back! This guy's dangerous!" "You know something about them?" Katie asked, having heard what the garuda said. "Several things," Voidmond answered as he looked to Kuruiuno apologetically, "though I never had much." Holding out her bow, Kuriuno closed her eyes and exclaimed, "Jadna!" Suddenly her weapon froze over and shattered, leaving the bow in a new, twin bladed form. Separating the weapon into two blades, Kuriuno pointed the weapon at the group and called out, "Get ready to death mongrel!" 

"Becoming like him!?" Chipp exclaimed "How!? why!?" "I don't know why." Raidos answered, "But it may have something to do with the planet's blood." "Planet's.. You mean Chemical X?" Chipp asked, "But it's rocket fuel." "Err yes to some people," Riados answered, "but to others, it's a way to open pathways to power. Anyway your friend here will be fine. Like I said, the electricity should heat him up just enough for him to wake back up." "And what if his heart stops?" Chipp asked, causing Raidos to ask, "Don't you have a monster to stop?"  "I'm just waiting until either Wisey or Q arrives so-" Suddenly Scott appeared armored out right in between the two causing them both to exclaim in shock. "Scott!? What did you!?" "I got better." Scott answered before turning to Blueacon. "What happened to him?" He asked causing Raidos to answer, "My sister has shot him with an ice arrow and I'm trying to stop the frost." Pulling out a G-Saber, Scott said handing another belt and wrist like device to Chipp, "Wisey is on his way, so we should get over there now!" "Where did you get this?" Chipp asked taking the devices. "I got them from the ship after I woke up. I suggest you suit up." "Alright thanks." Chipp said before pulling out the key for the transformation. Turning to Raidos, he said, "Stay here until Wisey arrives, alright?" "Okay." Rados answered with a nod, "Good luck." Quickly both Chipp and Scott vanished into thin air just as Blueacon's eyes began to open.

 

Looking at the massive creature, Cerberus, before them eyes wide open, Tameron, Flaron and Kaiser stood dumbfounded. It's body now having grown to the size of construction cranes, Cerberus stood on four legs on a bug like lower body. It's upper body was human-like with a pair of massive black carapaced arms bearing claws the size of daggers. "Soo," Kaiser, "what's the game plan now?" Looking desperately around, Flaron only stammered as she tried to see , Noticing this Tameron moved to the homunculus' side asking, "Hey Flare, are you alright?" Rolling his eyes, Kaiser turned around and began to walk away. "Kaiser?" Flaron started, but the cesasarian answered "Sorry, but I don't follow leaders who are weak in will. Now if you excuse me.." Before the two knights could say anything else, Kaiser began to run up towards the upper cliffs as he pulled out both his D-Gun and the gun Eithine gave him. "Alright! You triple headed monstrosity!" Kaiser said as he reached the top of the cliffs and aimed his guns at Cerberus, catching the attention of all three of it's heads, "Bring it on you son of a (Censored)!"

"Well," Eithine muttered lowering her binoculars, "that's a new one. I know Kaiser is reckless but taking on a monster that size is crazy, even for him." Lowering his, Verdtrus cursed and said, "Twin drake hasn't come back yet with Omnidec and Voidmond! Where are they!?" "I see them!" Binn exclaimed pointing in the distance, "On the cliffs!" Turning to where Bunn was pointing to the two leaders found Omnidec and the team sent to join Kaiser and the two knights' aide. "(CENSORED)!" Verdtrus cursed, pulling out a com, "That boy is going to get everyone killed!" Turning it on, he called Omnidec and ordered, "Omnidec! Come back here now! That's an order!" However no response was given, causing him to repeat his order, but to no avail. Cursing, he holstered the com and began to marched towards the destroyed door. "Where are you going!?" Eithine asked, noticing Verdtus' going inside. "Getting something from my office!" the humaniod answered stepping through the frame, "I'm calling a retreat!" "And how are you going to do that!?" Eithine asked, motioning to Cerberus, "That thing could crush you in an instant!" "I beg to differ!" Verdtrus answered as he walked downstairs, "Just open the hangar door!" Sighing Eithing turned and noticed something flying in the sky. "An agent?" Eithine asked raising her binoculars, and seeing that it was Chase, exclaimed, "It's that golden one!" 

Seeing the massive creature, Chase looked for his teammates, only finding the knights and the red Dragon agents. "(Censored)! Where are they?" he muttered when a distant explosion caught his attention. Seeing that the monster was preoccupied Chase flew towards the source, only to find his comrades and a familiar black armored warrior fighting a battle maiden with a strange looking monster. "What the...?" Chase muttered, lowering towards the battlefield for a better look, "Is that Voidmond?" Seeing Kuriuno point a sword at the fake garuda and Katie, Chase flew down and leaped off of his wind rider as it flew at the deer woman, causing her to duck. Rolling down near the two, Chase got up and after reaching them, asked Katie, "What the heck is going on?" "Those deer girls want to kill everything and one of them had transformed, somehow." Katie explained, "Apparently Voidmond knows something about them." Turning to the fake garuda, Chase greeted with, "Voidmond." "Greetings officer." Voidmond greeted politely, "I apologize for what happened this morning, I can't blow my cover." "You gouged out Beo's chest." Chase pointed out causing the fake garuda to quickly respond, "I did so in order to gain Verdtrus' trust." "Guys!" Katie suddenly called out, pointing to Kuriuno who glared at the three patiently. Cocking his crossbow, Chase aimed at the entity but Kuriuno pointed one of her swords at the garuda and suddenly volley of ice shards shot out of the deer woman's sword, hitting the garuda with full force. Flying back, Chase landed hard on the ground as Katie called after him. Quickly, Voidmond rushed at the warrior but quickly felt the swarm of Icicles stab through into his armor. "Not bad!" He stated, as throwing off the the ice shards, "But now's my turn!" before continuing to rush at her with full force.

Standing before the now massive form of Kaitres, Matt fired upon her but the blasts flew into the mirrors on her arms, much to the ursan's surprise. "Nice try mongrel!" Kaitres exclaimed, aiming the mirrors on her arms at the ursan, "Take this!" Suddenly, from the mirrors on her arms, Kaitres shot back the blasts Matt fired at her, forcing the ursan to quickly head for cover, taking several hits in the process. "Well (censored)!" Matt panted getting up and summoning his sheild, "I wish I still have my buster!" Lowering the turrets on his shoulders Matt got ready to open fire when Kaitres raised one of her crusted covered arms in the air. "Plasma through heaven!" She exclaimed, and suddenly a yellow plasma blade shot out of the slits of her arm. "Take this!" She exclaimed as she brought the sword down on the ursan. Quickly, Matt held out his shield and caught the blade with his shield, but the blade began to burn through the shield, causing the ursan to struggle against the massive warrior. "(Censroed)!" Matt cursed as he struggled against the hot blade. 

Shooting at Cerberus, Kaiser moved from one end of the cliff to the other to avoid the jaws and claws of the creature. Firing at the creature, Kaiser called out, "HA! Is that the best you got (censored)?" Angered, Cerberus snapped at him but the ceasarian dodged, moving at inhuman speed. 'Man this thing is stupid!' Kaiser thought rushing from one spot to another, 'It will never-!' Suddenly one of the creature's claws smashed into the ceasarian, leaving cracks on the ground. With a satisfied grunt, Cerberus sniffed the surprisingly durable warrior as he began to cough up blood. Seeing Kaiser like this, Flaron exclaimed "Come on! We got to help him!" "Alright!" Tameron said nodding, "Let's go!" Before the two could run to his aide, a shadow passed over much to to their surprise. Twin Drake, flying over the battlefield, aimed his spitfires at Cerberus and unleashed a rain of blasts on the creature, catching's its attention. As the creature was distracted, Rick and Binn ran to the ceasarian's side and quickly carried him away as Omnidec shot at Cerberus from a nearby cliff. Seeing the reinforcements, Tameron grinned as he raised his lance in the air exclaiming "Yeah! Back up has arrived!" "Are these guys truly evil?" Flaron pondered as they watched on, "They're acting like heroes all of a sudden."  Suddenly, a shard of ice zoomed passed her head and struck the rock wall near them. "What in the!?" She exclaimed, looking for the source, "Who shot that?" 

Seconds earlier, after quickly dodging the ice shards, Voidmond tried to dropkick the deer warrior, only to hit the force field that surrounded Kuriuno. Quickly getting on his feet, Voidmond dodged several more icicles, grabbing one of them and throwing it back, only for it to bounce off of the shield. "Interesting,," He commented "you still can use your force field." "It's a gift from Elysium." Kuriuno answered, "It is a power far too complex for you to understand." Chuckling, Voidmond retorted, "You be surprised in what your opponent knows." Quickly, he began to run around the deer woman as she shot icicles at him, one of them nearly hitting Flaron in the process. Reaching the back, Voidmond tried to drop kick the deer woman behind, only for a wall of ice to materialize from behind her, catching the fake garuda's foot. "Useless!" Kuriuno exclaimed turning around and before Voidmond could remove his foot, the Ice covered fake garuda, freezing him in place.  Soon the deer woman sent the wall flying back, sending the fake garuda careening a few half a mile away. Turning to the group dealing with Cerberus, Kuriuno charged towards them with furious speed as she began to glow. 

Rushing to Chase's side, Katie helped the garuda asking, "You alright?" "Yeah!" Chase looking over the damage to his armor, "Just scratches that's all!" Hearing Matt exclaim in the distance, Katie cursed and said, "Chase let's go help out with Matt! I think Voidmon has the ice lady covered." Quickly the two ran at Kaitres as she inched lowering her blade towards Matt's face. "You're a strong one!" Kaitres whispered in a melodious tune, grinning under her mask, "but you bre~ak soon!" Suddenly, a click was heard under the shield, catching Kaitres' attention. "What th-!?" Was all she managed to mutter when a blast of blue energy shot through a hole in the shield blew a small hole through the deer woman's shoulder as she staggered back from the ursan. Touching said hole, Kaitres saw the blood on her fingers and looked at Matt who panted as he tossed his ruined shield aside. "Nice shot." She said as the hole began to heal, "Not bad. Huh, never been shot through my arm before." Suddenly, two solo burst tore through her chest, causing her to stagger forward. Looking back, Kaitres found both Katie and Chase holding their firearms as smoke trailed from the barrels. Growling, Kaitres roared, "This is one on one! Get lost!" Pulling out the silver belt and armorizer, Katie attached the devices and pulled out the key for the tranformation. "What are you-?" Chase started before Katie exclaimed, "FORM CHANGE!" As the wrist device beeped, Katie's armor changed into a bulkier form. Seeing this, Kaitres blinked before extending her plasma blades before she rushed towards the two agents. Pressing the first button on her belt, Katie summoned the cannon that Chipp used and aimed at the approaching Kaitres, "Good thing I read the instruction manual," She stated activating the solo burst, "or otherwise I would be a sitting duck!" She opens fire, the round hitting Kaitres' chest and exploding. Lowering the cannon, Kaitie sighed before Chase asked, "When did you read the manual?" "Last night." Katie answered as the smoke passed over revealing a ticked off Kaitres, "Looks like w're not done yet!" "Step off!" The deer woman barked driving both of her arm blades into the ground. Suddenly the ground beneath the two agents cracked and exploded, sending them flying back. "Guys!" Matt exclaimed before he turned to Kaitres as anger grew within him. "Your going to pay for that!" he exclaimed, activating the solo burst on his G-Saber and charged at Kaitres. 

Back in the hospital room, lugh explained, "On one of the scout missions Poseidos, one of our former Jewels, had infiltrated NULL Unit's body. You see Poseidos is a liquid based life form, meaning it is difficult for him to reproduce with flesh based entities like us which conflicted his desire for an heir for his wealth. In a vain attempt, he tried to use the Null unit's scanning system and their organic elements to create a child. However, the scanning systems short circuited, killing him and causing massive amounts of damage to the Null unit." "Oh..." Hoot muttered, eyes wide, "Wow! I never thought they could do that. I'm" "After the 'incident'," Lugh explained, "one of the NULL Units, the one you call Tarrot flew into a rage and nearly killed one of the staff." "All that, because a guy wanted to pass his money?" Beo snarked before his fake smile fell from his face, "Look, I know Verdian is nuts, but seriously!? Talk about over reaction!" "Don't make light of another being's suffering!" Bartch chastised. "Suffering!? They're androids! Computers wrapped in sacks of flesh!" Beo exclaimed, "They don't have souls! They're just machines!" "You watch your mouth whelp!" Rhichant exclaimed, grabbing the draken by the collar. "Rhichant!" Lugh exclaimed grabbing his shoulder, "Calm down!" Looking to the elven woman's hand, Beo found prostetic claw-like hand. Looking to his comrade, Rhichant stated, "This whelp needs to be taught a lesson Lugh!" "I know!" Lugh responded, "But there's a time and place for it." Reluctantly, the android released his grip on Beo and walked to the door as Jerry followed, saying "I'll be back." Turning to the agents, Lugh said, "Apologies for my cohort. That incident is a sore subject to him." "We understand." Bartch stated "I hate to change the subject, but you mentioned Verdian as a supervisor, was that all he was?" "No, he wasn't." Lugh answered, "He was also a Jewel like us."
