Across the threshold: and into the fire 07

As the hangar door for the Grendel opened up, Verdtrus wearing an old belt on his waist stepped into the light. opening his fist, Verdtrus looked to the jaguar construct's chip resting in his hand for a second before turning on his belt. "Bejewel!" he stated as his armor morphs into a more older styled armor as he tossed the chip into the air as the belt called out, "TELUR JEWELED" "Construct come!" He ordered as the chip morphed into the Jaguar construct who walked arouound him and purred as it rubbed it's head on his leg. "Hello Jasper." Verdtrus greeted as he petted the construct's head "I am in need of your assistance old friend." Walking forward, Jasper stopped right in front of the humaniod and flashed as it morphed into a motorcycle like form. Hoping on, Verdtrus started up the bike saying, "Alright Jasper, let's go!" when something caught his eye. Looking to Matt's G-buster laying on the ground, Verdrtus briefly stepped off to collected the weapon before getting back on and riding off into the battle field as an explosion rang through the air. 

Flying back from the Solo burst Kaitres threw back, Matt fell to his back as the deer woman walked towards the ursan. Laughing, Kaitres called out, "Is this the best you got?" Getting up, Matt gritted his teeth and muttered, "You crazy woman! You're not geting away from this!" "Oh we are." Kaitres remarked pointing ahead, "Look!" Looking behind Matt found Kuriuno rushing towards the knights causing him to curse saying "They" "Let's e~nd this!" Kaitres exclaimed musically as she prepared her blades, "Just one on-" Suddenly a blast from behind caught her attention as "That's enough" Katie exclaimed she and Chase got up, "You're not going anywhere!" "Oh you little-!" Kaitres started before Chase's wind rider flew over her, "What the-!?" Kaitres exclaimed, "Was that a bird?" Suddenly, she felt several blasts pelt her back as Chase and Katie ran towards her. Turning, Kaitres growled as she raised her arms "Would you JUST BUG-!" Suddenly another round smacked her in the chest, catching her off guard. Screaming, she ran at the two but the agents quickly moved out of the way as Matt got up and aimed his G-saber at the deer woman and opened fire. Feeling the blasts, Kaitres turned to the ursan when the wind rider smacked her in the face, breaking off half of her mask causing her to pause. While this was happening, the three agents reconvened as Kaitres stood with her head up to the sky. "Chase you got to stop smacking your wind rider into people!" Katie chastised, "Seriously Thomas is not going repair it if you keep breaking it!" "We are fighting a psychotic molten deer and THAT'S what you take issue with!?" Chase asked when Matt brushed his shoulder asking "What is she doing?" Putting a hand on her face as she lowered her head, Kaitres spat out a tooth and looked at the three. "You know what?" She said wiping her mouth, "I'm just going to kill all you three at ONCE if you're going to keep this up!" 

"Chase!" Katie said, "Let's try a double burst!" While solo bursts are bursts of energy concentrated into CPDF equipment like G-Sabers or the specialized weapons, double bursts are the result of two weapons activating their solo burst simultaneously while in close proximity, causing an increase of destructive power.  "Wait!" Matt injerjected, "She is going to just absorb it through her mirrors!" Looking at the mirrors on the deer woman's body, Chase pondered, "You serious?" "YES!" Matt exclaimed, "Weren't you paying attention!?" "Alright enough!" Katie exclaimed before turning to Chase's weapon saying, "Do you have physical rounds in that thing?" "Just electric bolts." Chase answered, "What do you have in mind?"

Unleashing a volley of missiles from his shield, Tameron Kept Cerberus's attention as Flaron ran up to Omnidec's side. "Omni!" Flaron said reaching the homunculus, "Did Verdrus send you?" "Not really," Omnidec answered, "I'll tell you all about it later." Looking to Cerberus, Flaron explained, "I tried to knock it out with fire but all it did was slow it down." "I saw," Omnidec answered, "but you did blow it up, right?" "Just hit the red part." She answered, "That's where it's weakest!" "Got it!" Omnidec said before rushing out in the field. "Wait!" Flaron called out causing the homunculus to stop in his tracks, "Here!" Tossing the purple chip to Omnidec, Flaron said, "It's one of your chips, the weird one." Grinning Omnidec answered, "Thanks!" before inserting it in his hammerhead weapon, causing it to begin glowing as he began sending blasts at the creature's stomach as Flaron followed suit with fireballs causing Cerberus to turn to them and began to snap at the four knights attacking him.

Fighting Ceberus with Omnidec, Flaron leaped from rock to rock, avoiding Cerberus when she noticed Voidmond's absence. Realizing this, she pondered where that bird guy went when Omnidec called out "Flare!" Snapping her out of her train of thought, Flaron noticed Cerberus' tail moving towards her. Before she could get away, a volley of missiles from Tameron's shield stopped the appendage from crushing the homunculus. Looking to the grinning Knight, Flaron was about to say something when  Omnidec called out, "Hey Romeo and Juliet! Pay attention!" Avoiding the jaws of Cerberus, the two homunculus moved around the frustrated creature, trying to find and hit any bare fleshy skin point they can but the creature just stood. "(Censored)!" Omnidec exclaimed to the others, "This thing's not budging!" "Hit it in red spot!" Tameron called out, "That's where it's weakest!" "I'm trying!" Omnidec called out firing at the beast, "But it's not working!" 

Racing towards the knights, Kuriuno's body morphed into had transformed into a centaur noid-like form as an Ice like carapace covered her upper torso and a jaw materilized over where her groin used to be. As she prepared several icicles, Kuriuno prepared to fire at the knights when Cerberus' tail nearly hit her in the head, causing her to exclaim. "Cerberus!" Looking at her with one of her heads, Cerberus cocked it in curiosity as the other two snapped at the four knights on the cliffs. Groaning, the deer woman ran towards the rock edge when Rick dropped in front of her and aimed Kaiser's gun at her. "I wouldn't try anything if I were you lady!" the numian warned, "This baby can blow a hole through solid steel!" Not amused by this at all, Kuriuno aimed one of her swords at Rick but before she could do anything else, Binn threw a boulder at her head, forcing the deer woman to leap out of the way before it could take off her head. Noticing the transformed ceasarian, Kuriuno sent several icicles at the two, forcing Binn back. Rick, however leaped upwards in the air 15 meters over Kuriuno. Unfortunately, As Rick landed, the ground beneath him froze over causing him to slip and fall on his face. "This is the might of the Red Dragon army?" Kuriuno muttered, readying more icicles "I'm not impressed." Suddenly materializing nearby, Chipp in his upgraded form and Scott turned to the two as the sirian asked, "What the? Is that the ice lady" Seeing this, Kaitres fired a few/ icicles at agents, forcing them to roll out of the way. "You're not going to interfere!" Kuriuno exclaimed, aiming her one of her blades at the two, "You mongrels!" 

Moving out of the way of Kaitres' swipes, Chase rolled out of the way as Katie and Matt fired upon the deer woman with solid rounds. Getting up, Chase Activated a Solo burst and fired at the deer woman but suddenly the blast flew into one of the mirrors on her body. "What the?" Chase muttered before Matt exclaimed, "Move!" Ducking out of the way, Chase managed to just get out of the way as Kaitres threw back the burst back at him, only getting singed in the process. "Is that the best you got!?" Kaitres exclaimed before a round of Katie's cannon hit her back. Turning the deer woman mached at the catira when Matt shifted his G-Saber into sword mode and quickly slashed at the deer woman from behind, quickly leaving the deer woman's range as Verdtrus rode up on the Jaguar motorcycle on a nearby cliff. Stopping, Verdtrus turned to the four fighters and muttered, "Is that one of the battle maidens?" Bringing out the massive weapon that Matt had dropped earlier, Verdtrus turned to Usran who was standing by and got off of the jaguar construct. Walking to the edge of the cliff, he muttered, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to give this back." and called out "Hey you!" before throwing the massive weapon towards the agents.  

Hearing Verdtrus' call, Matt could only turn to the source only for the G-Buster smacked him in the face. "GYahh! What the!?" Matt exclaimed, before finding the G-Buster on the ground, "Wait where-?" Looking up, Matt found the unrecognizable Verdtrus riding away. Shaking his head, Matt put away his G-Saber as he and the other two began a coordinated attack. Katie began with several shots at the deer woman, hitting her on the mirror on her shoulder, shattering it. "HEY!" Kaitres exclaimed before chase began taking out the mirrors on her shoulder before shooting ground beneath her. Confused, Kaitres unleashed her blades and prepared to strike the ground when Matt quickly activated the solo burst on his G-Buster and ran it through her stomach, shattering both of the mirrors on her torso.  Seeing the Ursan, Kaitres grabbed him and punched him in the face before pulling the blade out. "That's it!" She exclaimed, "You're going to get it!" Suddenly, a metallic voice belted out "DOUBLE BURST!" as both Chase and Katie fired the titular version of their solo burst. Tearing a pair of holes into the deer woman's body, the blasts passed by Matt and burnt two streaks behind the ursan. "GEEZ!" Matt exclaimed, "Forgot how powerful double bursts are!" Looking at the two holes through her chest, all Kaitres could manage was a "EH?" Kaitres was all she could say before suddenly she appeared to explode in a blast of energy which caught Kuriuno's attention. 

Seeing what happened to her sister, Kuriuno grimaced as she faced towards first the C.P.D.F. agents, then to the interlopers from the red Dragon army and then to the knights attacking Cerberus. "Curse you all!" She exclaimed, to the three before her, "I will avenge my sister and destroy you all!" "Sorry lady!" Chipp called back, "We're not letting not happen!" Looking back, Rick asked, "You guys want to stop them too?" "For now." Chipp answered, as he and Scott readied their weapons, "until that monster (Cerberus) is no longer a threat!" Soon Scott exclaimed, "KARDNA!" before vanishing in thin air. Seeing this, Kuriuno spun around to see Scott above her. Landing on her carapaced back, Scott wrapped his arms around Kuriuno's upper torso, pinning her arms. Quickly the deer woman attempted to throw the sirian off as Rick suddenly kicked her in the torso and knocking her and unfortunately Scott to the ground. Getting up Kuriuno shot several more icicles at both Chipp and Rick, forcing them back as she got up. Quickly, Chipp's hand moved to summon his cannon before suddenly a rough voice called out, "(HEY INVADERS!)" Turing to the source, the combatants watched as in the sky a wind rider zoomed over them as a light leaped from it. Dropping down to the ground a now shining Blueacon, rose up and faced Kuriuno. "(Remember me?)" he exclaimed as with a flick of a wrist, his arm blades loosened into whips as the deer woman slowly got up glaring at the transformed garuda. 

Seeing the aircraft, Twin Drake looked from his comrades who are avoiding the heads of Cerberus to the group fighting Kuriuno whith blue monster joined in while Binn waited at the cliffs above. Suddenly he noticed Verdtrus and Voidmond and muttered, "Wait, that armor! It can't be!" before Cerberus' head smacked into him and causing him to drop one of his spitfires. Staggering in the air, the homunculus realized his missing weapon and called out "ISABELLE!" only to see his fire arm in the hand of Flaron. {DON'T WORRY SISTER!} She transmitted, {I GOT HER!} Quickly, she jumped out of the way of Cerberus' foot. Leaping onto a ledge, Flaron looked to the spitfire before an idea crossed her mind. inserting a chip into her metamorpher and attaching it to her staff, she raised the spitfire and fired at one of the heads calling out, "HEY UGLY!" Turning to the homuculus, the head glared and lunged at her. Seeing this, Tameron could only call out "FLARE!" before Cerberus's Jasws snatched her up whole.
