Across the threshold: War Blues 01

"So where did you go?" Karka asked taking a bite out of the pizza on a plate. Across from him, Mordecai sat, just looking at his slice, not saying a thing. "Hey what's wrong?" Karka asked, taking note on Mordecai's visage. "The knights are using the chips to create monsters." Mordecai said, "And I gave them a trump card!" "You had no choice!" Karka explained, "He forced you to-" "I did it on my own accourd!" Mordecai exclaimed before saying, "Sorry, I didn't expect Verdian was going to use the chips in such a matter. I mean creating monsters without a humonculus base, how is that even possible?" "Are you referring to the requiem chips you told Dr Reynolds about?" "Yes," Mordecai said "but they were supposed to be computers, prototypes for the Zero Cores!" "Well, why did you trusted him in the first place?" Karka asked.

In the morning, Chase Beo and Wisey walked into the evidence room within the Sub headquarters, turning on the lights. The shelves all have many momentos from previous foes, missions and investigations. Bringing out the F.U.Z.O.R, Chase asked, "Remember this?" "Oh yeah," Wisey said picking it up, "I do." Snatching the F.U.Z.O.R out of the garuda's hand, Beo explained,  "These were supposed to be like engines for Zero Cores, I think. Not an expert on these things."  "What about the armor?" Wisey asked, only for Beo to answer "It comes with the package. To be honest I was just repeated what I read and was told." Turning to the draken, Chase asked, "Who were the elf lady and the big duck guy that attacked us a two days ago?" "The short cyborg that was you carried on your back last night?" "That's Q! You said that the two were jewels earlier!" "Oh you mean Lugh and Rox. They're usually nice people but seriously deadly in the battle field. If we meet them, I can convince them to be on our side. Anyway, about Voidmond, he was able to outpace in speed you right?" "Yeah, is that a thing you do?" Wisey asked, "He was wicked fast!" "No, I can't run at crazy speeds like this Voidmond guy, but I can slow things down." "Yeah, I felt it." Chase said catching Wisey's attention. "Yeah, sorry about that," Beo said with a goofy smile, "did not kow if I could trust you yet." "Still do not trust you fully." Chase retorted, "But I will work with you because we may have another problem." "Is it the kid?" Beo asked. "Yes and the guy who came with him." "Wait, I thought Chipp,-" Wisey started before Beo turned to the window. "What is it?" Chase asked before noticing a small shadow in the window which quickly vanished. "What the heck is that?" Chase exclaimed before the door opened up, revealing  Q in the doorway. "(Hey guys, Chipp's here.)"

In the hangar Chipp explained, "like I said yesterday, we will go into two groups, one heading north will be led by me and Scott, while Katie and Matt will lead the second group. The second group will go south in the main land first and go back from there. The my group will check a base headed by the Bucketheads near the border and we will rush back to redevuozs with the southern group at Port Ness." "When will we set forth?" Bartch asked. "Tommorow morning." Chipp answered I suggest you start packing tonight." "Wait." Matt called out, pointing to the sweatered garuda and Eric, "Are we seriously bringing those two?" Excuse me," Katie said before walking to the ursan whispering, "Matt can we talk?"

Later...
"What the heck!?" Katie exclaimed, as she, Matt and Hoot stood outside in the parking lot, "I was going to tell Chipp about what Eric told me but I don't need to you to blurt everything out." "Sorry, I know Chipp's feelings on vigilantes! Remember Riva!" "I have been doing some digging." Hoot said, crossing his arms "And I've found that our Socialist Court buddies has a Tweeter Account but it's filled with rethoric about representation and quality." "What about what Eric said? About being a former mercenary!?" Matt asked.  "I checked the phone number and it goes to a publishing company called Amazel." "Wait, don't they make movies nowadays?" Katie asked. "Yeah, but they were bought out by a company on Earth." Hoot explained, "Gegsby I think it was called, they had a mouse mascot though. Eric himself is the real anomaly,  I could not find anything on him on the offical records." "I was born out of state." Eric said, causing the three to jump. "Don't do that!" Katie  exclaimed. "Sorry," Eric answered,  "I didn't want to scare you." "Eric!" The garuda in the sweater called out,  "Where are you?" "Over here!" Katie called out catching the garuda's attention. "Oh, hey!" The garuda said rushing to the group, "Sorry I saw Eric run out.and I had to follow-" "It's alright," Katie said, "your name is Rian right?"  "Yes? Why?" Rian asked. "Chipp wants the both of you in my group for when we leave for the South. While we are there, can I trust that you don't try to kill us?" "Sure" Rian said nervously. "Kay" Eric said nonchalantly.

That night, Bartch packed his bag when a voice called out, "Leaving so soon?" Turning to the source, Bartch saw Virginain in the doorway, a blue Sirian with purple hair and green jacket. "It will be a day or two," Bartch explained, "I'll be back before you know it." "You're heading into a warzone! " Virginain pointed out, "You know as well as I do that splitting up group could get your squad killed." "I know," Bartch said, "But yourteam is still recovering from that attack on Red Parting." "Funny you mention that," Virginain said, "There was a girl who actually saved my life at Red Parting, a blue simian." Hearing this,  Bartch turned and asked "A blue simian female?" "Yeah, bit nit a ceasarian, " Virginain said, "She had a tail and a wierd horn. During the battle I would have been crushed by a large boulder if she had not appeared to smash it. Though she did steal the artifact afterwards." Looking back at the Bag, Bartch asked, "Are you going to be okay defending New Forma?" "Yeah," Virginain said draping her arms around his shoulders, "I got Fred and Bronze on my side as well. Be sure to come hone safe." " Don'tworry," Bartch said, placing his hands on her's, "I will."
