Across the threshold : War Blues 07
Exiting the Blood Rose, Katie said to Matt, "Well he's not here. *groan* He could be anywhere!" "It's almost night now." Matt said, "Let's head back!" Rubbing her brow Katie said "No, we need to look for Rian, he could be anywhere in the city." Suddenly something caught Katie's eye, a figure with a blue tail. "Hey," Katie asked, "isn't one of the knights a blue tailed monkey?" "What? What does that have to do with finding Rian?" Matt asked. Suddenly Matt then ran, following after the tail's trail. "Hey!" Matt exclaimed reaching out following as well.
Reaching the park three miles away, Katie stopped by the front entrance as Matt ran up to meet her. "(Censored) Katie!" Matt said in pants, "Don't dash around like that!" "Look." Katie said pointing to a certain bench. On it, sat Flaron, Tameron and Primo in their civilian forms talking. "Who's that guy!?" Matt asked pointing to the three before Katie pulled him behind a tree. "Hey! What's that for!?" Matt exclaimed. "SHHHH! Be quiet!" Katie whispered. "Alright fine!" Matt said more quietly, "But seriously, who is that guy?" "Not sure," Katie said, "but we need to get in closer." Suddenly a familiar voice chimed in, "Excuse me, a moment of your time." Turning around Katie and Matt found Voidmond standing behind them, making a friendly gesture before saying, "Yo!"
On the bench, Primo started, "Thanks for coming here at this time." "No problem," Tameron stated, "Anytime." "What do you want this time?" Flaron asked, "The last time we were with you, Omni and I were almost monster food." "Sorry about that, but pasts aside, I think you guys should quit the knights and turn yourselves in." "What?" Tameron asked, "What do you mean?" "Well-" Primo started but a loud squawking sound was heard from behind one of the trees. "What the heck is that?" Tameron asked standing up. "Huh, it could be a large bird." "Erm," Flaron pointed out, "you're a bird." "A feral one I mean." Primo said getting up. Looking into the bushes, Tameron turned around saying, "Looks like it's nothing."
Nearby, both Matt and Katie flew backwards onto the park bridge like sacks of potatoes as Voidmond stepped out of the bushes. "Well, we'll well," Voidmond said, "this is an interesting development!" Getting up, Matt and Katie raised their armorizers and yelled "Form Change!" transforming in a flash of light. "Whoa!" Voidmond said, raising his hands, "I come in peace!"
Back at the bench, Primo explained, "Today two men from the Cross Planetary Defense Force came to our main Headquarters, claiming that you gave been stealing artifacts from other countries." "Wait they're here like right now!?" Tameron asked. "Yeah," Primo answered before shaking his head, "look, I know you don't mean harm to Gulliver town but you need to turn yourselves in so that nobody gets hurt." "Look Primo," Tameron said, "we need to do this. If we don't, the whole universe would be in danger!" "Is it?" Primo asked, "Look, if there's something that's going to attack this planet, then go to the CPDF and let them handle the problem. You don't have to go stealing artifacts all willy nilly for a terrorist organization!" "What are you talking about?" Flaron exclaimed, standing up. "Let me explain," Primo said, "Years ago, the Red Dragon army invaded this planet, at the behest of their home planet near Saturn Primax. They pillaged and killed many lives on their own rampage. The " "Bull-(censored)!" Flaron exclaimed, "Verdtrus would never join with such a group!" "Hey let him finish!" Tameron said, before turning to Primo "Go on."
"Joining us?" Katie asked, "Why?" "To be honest, I never trusted the Red Dragon to begin with. My leader Verdtrus desired to only stop the 14 Jewels and the *sigh* monster known as G Zero. The Red Dragon army is a backwards organization, they only desire to take over this world using the King's armor. Let me act as your spy for now, in return, I want you to give my brothers and sister amnesty and a full pardon." "Full pardon!?" Matt exclaimed walking forward and grabbing the fake garuda, "They stole artifacts for the Red Dragon army!" "They are being used!" Voidmond said, "Besides, It's Verdtrus' fault for dragging them in the first place!" "That was crime, not war!" Katie pointed out, "Besides, Why should we trust you?" "Because I can tell you whatever you want!" Voidmond said pushing Matt off of him, "Crew, Mission, Ship's layout, our leader's next move, etc. Just spare the other humonculi and let me take the blame!"
"After the war," Primo continued as Flaron and Tameron stood stunned, "as part of the treaty, the Red dragon would have to return to their home planet and allow any refugees to migrate to this planet. However many of the generals refused and in revenge, they destroyed Terra Aera because it had the highest number of immigrants. It is also said that they assassinated the four elementals and their families for causing them to lose the war." "What!?" Flaron, exclaimed "That can't be true can it!?" "It is." Primo said getting up, "Look, I don't want to tell you this but if you continue to fight with the Red Dragon Army, I will have to fight you myself." "We can't just abandon our friends!" Tameron said, "The other knights are like us and they are only other members of our kind in this world." "I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do." Primo said, turning around, "I do wish that you will find a better future." As Primo walked away, Tameron looked at Flaron who clenched her fists. "You okay?" He asked. "Yeah." Flaron said walking to the entrance, "Let's head back." Following, Tameron briefly stopped to look back. After a few seconds he turned and followed Flaron out of the park.
"While what you are offering is invaluable," Kaite said, "but Verdtrus and the other have robbed other cities all over the world. While New Forma would normally allow former criminals to reform through at best community service but other continents aren't as lenient. At least let us think it over first." "Very well," Voidmond said, "but I will expect your answer soon, whatever it may be." Pulling out a chip, Voidmond raised it up and suddenly a cloud of yellow smoke covered his body. "Get back!" Kaite exclaimed as she and Matt stepped back as the cloud dissipated, leaving nothing but Voidmond's footprints. "What the (censored) was that!?" Matt asked dissipating his armor. Dissipating her armor, Katie said, "I don't know, let's go back." Once Matt powered off his armor, he and Katie left the bridge as Kaiser emerged from behind the tree. "That son of a (censored)!" he said before disappearing into the forest.
In the shuttle, Bartch fiddled with the terminal as Hoot sat by radio com in hand. "Alright shoot!" Bartch said. "Echo, Echo, Chippy can you read, me over." Not getting an answer, the two sighed as Hoot dropped the com and Bartch removed his cap. "(Censored)! Why did Katie bring the mechanic!? " Hoot exclaimed, "We looked over the terminal overy and over again and I can't get this darn thing to work!" "Well, admittedly I believe this is a job for Matt." Bartch stated, "I don't think the terminal is what's wrong here." "Ya think!?" Hoot exclaimed, "All you did was fiddle with the terminal!" "*sigh* Do you think think they're alright?" Batch asked spinning his cap in his cap. "Maybe," Hoot said leaning back, "but I wouldn't put it past them to fight along side the Bucketheads themselves." "Well since the Genesis Incident, Chipp has been on edge." "Darkoni, huh? What did happen though? I know the essentias, but whenever I looked into the file, it came up as a restricted document." "Well, how should I put this? It was restricted for a reason." "Oh okay." Hoot said, "You're just going to tell me all of this?" "Yeah," Bartch said, "I think others in the team should know about this. To explain this the best way I have a question. How familiar are you with quantum mechanics?"
